Yesterday marked the 100th anniversary of the sinking of the RMS Titanic. The British passenger liner sank after colliding with an iceberg 375 miles south of Newfoundland, in the early hours of April 15, 1912. 1,514 people lost their lives in aboard the Titanic, with less than a third of the passengers surviving.
